Forza Horizon 6 has finally dropped, taking us straight into the incredible car culture of Japan. If you are exploring the neon-lit highways and winding mountain passes, there is one classic car you absolutely need to add to your garage as soon as possible: the legendary 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3, also known to enthusiasts as the 930 Turbo.
This air-cooled street-racing icon cannot be bought straight from the Autoshow. Instead, it is tucked away as a Barn Find just on the outskirts of Tokyo City. Because it is tied directly to your campaign progression, you will have to put in a little bit of legwork before you can rescue it from the dust. Here is exactly how to unlock, locate, and restore this absolute classic.
1. Unlock the Barn Find Rumor
If you try to drive out to the location right at the start of the game, you will find nothing but empty trees. The barn itself will not even render until you officially trigger the rumor in your game. To get the word out, you need to progress through the local campaign activities.
  • First, open up your campaign menu and pull up the "Discover Japan" tracker, which you can find under your Collector's Journal.
  • Focus on clearing the yellow map markers. This means diving into Touge events, traditional road races, and core story missions. Completing these will push your stamp status higher.
  • Keep grinding until you hit Level 4: Pathfinder (which the community also refers to as getting your Pink Stamp). The moment you clear this milestone, the radio will kick in with the rumor, and a purple search circle will appear on your map.

2. Locate the Barn
Once the search zone pops up, you will want to point your map pin toward the northern outskirts of Tokyo City, specifically shifting focus toward the Ohtani region. The barn is tucked away beautifully inside a dense forest line, making it a bit tricky to spot from the main road if you are blazing past at high speeds.
To pinpoint the exact spot, head over to the southeast corner of the Ohtani area. Look closely at your map for a distinctive curved dirt road running alongside a small river. Directly opposite this curve, you will spot a narrow, unmarked dirt path leading away from the water and straight into a thick bamboo forest on the north side of the search zone. Turn your car down this path, follow it deep into the bamboo trees, and you will hit the cutscene triggering the hidden barn.
3. Restore the Car
After the cutscene plays out, the battered Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 is sent back to your garage. It is in rough shape, meaning you have two choices on how you want to get it road-ready:
  • The Free Method: Just keep doing what you are doing. Go back to racing, drifting, and exploring Japan. As you log time in the game, the mechanics will slowly fix it up for free. You will eventually get a notification that it is ready to drive.
  • The Instant Method: If you cannot wait to get behind the wheel of the 930, you can head over to the Barn Finds menu in your garage and pay a hefty Credit fee to skip the timer and restore it instantly.

Once it is clean and ready, the 911 Turbo 3.3 really shines. It features highly flexible upgrade paths that make it viable across multiple builds. If you want a head start, community tuners have already uploaded excellent high-performance setups, including highly optimized S1-Class grip tunes that absolutely dominate the winding touge roads around the map. Enjoy the ride!
